Skydance New Media, the new interactive division of Skydance Media, announced a partnership with Marvel Entertainment for their first project. The developing game is a narrative, action-adventure blockbuster featuring a completely original story set in the Marvel universe. The new AAA game studio formed in 2019 by award winning writer/director Amy Hennig and Electronic Arts veteran Julian Beak to pioneer a new category of gaming. This new category promises a groundbreaking convergence of games, film, and television.

To create this Marvel universe experience, Skydance New Media has put together a crew of developers with decades of AAA experience in action and adventure gaming, as well as a diverse team of creative consultants from the worlds of film, television, and comics. The Skydance New Media team is focussing on creating interactive experiences made for traditional gaming platforms as well as emerging streaming services. The game will be designed to be appealing and accessible to a global audience, appropriate for both seasoned and less experienced players.

Marvel Entertainment is not a newcomer to the video game world, with acclaimed success in past releases like Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Avengers, and more. This month, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is available across a variety of platforms from Square Enix. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine are currently in the works as well.

Check back for more updates as this game continues to develop.
