Between the glimpses of her signature purple glow, Olivia Rodrigo possibly bids farewell to the final act of her Sour era with the music video for “traitor.”
How does one guess? Well, before she walks towards a white door surrounded by snowflakes, there are keys, gloves, ballet shoes, and a mirror drifting in a flower-scented body of water. All of these items symbolically belong to her previous music videos. Simultaneously, its camera-recorded style pleasantly plays on the forensic nature of watching a relationship meet its end, zooming in on two non-illicit love birds kissing.
