It’s Halloween month, so what better time to unveil the first trailer for the upcoming fifth movie installment in the Scream franchise?

On October 12, Paramount Pictures unveiled the trailer for Scream, following the poster and first look images released earlier this week. Check out the poster and trailer below!

Scream, a follow-up to 2011’s Scream 4, will reunite fans with plenty of familiar faces with Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, and David Arquette as Dwight ‘Dewey’ Riley. In addition to the returning favorites, new faces Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar, and Kyle Gallner will join the cast.

The new installment to the franchise will follow a woman returning to her hometown to try to find out who has been committing a series of vicious crimes. If we know anything about the franchise, it’s likely to be Ghostface … but who will be the monster behind the mask this time around?

Scream will be in theaters January 14, 2022. Further updates for the movie can be found on the Scream movie website, with our continued coverage found here.
