‘Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City’ Drops First Trailer
With this new trailer drop, Resident Evil is taking us back to the 90s and to where it all started. Fans of the film franchise and the hit horror game will no doubt know the significance of Racoon City. Welcome to Raccoon City will be a complete reboot for the franchise, after the success of the six previous movies in the early 2000s. As can be seen in the trailer below, this new vision is sure to impress long time fans.
Welcome to Raccoon City is directed by the talented Johannes Roberts, and seems to have plans to stick closer to some of the storyline and themes of the original games. With this new film comes a brand new talented cast in the roles fans know and love. Playing the two main characters of the story are Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield and Robbie Amell as her brother Chris.
The trailer shows viewers how the twisted zombies and monsters that are so well known in the Resident Evil universe first came to be. Claire follows her own investigation back to her hometown that has been taken over by the ominous Umbrella corporation. As the siblings follow different leads, they soon find themselves searching through a creepy mansion that fans of the video game will recognize. Leon S. Kennedy, played by Avan Jogia, crosses their path soon afterwards. Together they begin the descent into the depths of Umbrella. They will be faced with the challenge of stopping the spread of the twisted experiments before it’s too late.
