The long-awaited trailer for Nightmare Alley has finally been released! The latest film from horror icon Guillermo del Toro is set for release in theaters on December 17. Nightmare Alley is a remake of the classic 1947 film, which is itself based on the novel by William Lindsay Gresham. Unlike many of del Toro’s films, Nightmare Alley is based as a film noir rather than horror and will pay tribute to the classic films of its era. Searchlight Pictures also released a synopsis and poster for the film.

“In NIGHTMARE ALLEY, an ambitious carny (Bradley Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is.

Nightmare Alley will also star Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, David Strathairn, and Jim Beaver, among many others. Check out the new trailer below!
