Just in time for the Halloween season, Amazon Prime Video releases a teaser trailer for its new horror series. I Know What You Did Last Summer is a reboot in the way of a television show, this is a new telling of the fan-favorite 1997 slasher movie.

This teaser comes to life with the oddly perfect song choice of “Brutal” by Olivia Rodrigo. It sets the tone for the series that is firmly set in the modern world, with brightly colored scenes of teens partying at the forefront. While watching the carefree atmosphere it’s easy to get caught up in the fun of summer, but the secrets that are hiding underneath are bound to come to the surface.

The video soon takes a dark turn as the group of teens attempts to hide what they call an accident. Although as the teaser comes to a close we see that others may not see the situation in the same light. With the ominous text message of “I’m Coming 4U” viewers should prepare for a horror-filled wild ride.

I Know What You Did Last Summer will debut on October 15 on Amazon Prime Video. Bringing the reboot to life is Madison Iseman, Ezekiel Goodman, Brianne Tju, and Ashley Moore. The group plays teens preparing to embark on their senior year of high school and no doubt an unforgettable year. Joining them are Sebastian Amoruso, Cassie Beck, Fiona Rene, Bill Heck, and Brooke Bloom, with Spencer Sutherland and Sonya Balmores as recurring characters.

Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures TV are pairing up to produce the series. Producer on the original film Erik Feig will be joining the reboot as an executive producer this time around. Goodman, Shay, Hatten, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Rob Hackett, Michael Clear and James Wan are all attached as executive producers.
