Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston Comedy To Be Released by Prime Video
After winning a bidding war, Prime Video is set to release an upcoming and still-untitled comedy starring Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston. Pitched by Max Barbakow, the film centers on body swap shenanigans involving Roberts and Aniston.
Barbakow is behind-the-scenes writing and will also direct the film. LuckyChap Entertainment, Margot Robbie’s production label, Robert’s Red Om Films, Aniston’s Echo Films, and Barbakow will produce.
Following the success of Roberts and George Clooney’s Ticket to Paradise, studios are seeing there is an audience ready for two big stars leading films. Filmmakers are realizing viewers will head to theaters and streaming services to watch movies with actors they have enjoyed for decades. This auction win also shows Prime Video has a plan to bulk up its stock in films.
