The inaugural Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) TV Awards ceremony took place last night, and Apple’s Ted Lasso dominated the evening with a total of four wins.

Ted Lasso follows the story of an American football coach, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis, who is hired to manage a British soccer team … despite the fact that he has no experience with the aforementioned sport. Ted makes up for his lack of knowledge with an infectious amount of optimism, underdog determination, and biscuits. (If you haven’t watched it yet, what are you waiting for!?)

The series was nominated eight times across four categories and ultimately brought home four awards, winning each category it was nominated for!

  • Best Streaming Series, Comedy
  • Best Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy — Jason Sudeikis
  • Best Supporting Actress in a Streaming Series, Comedy — Hannah Waddingham
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy — Brett Goldstein

The next episode of Ted Lasso will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ this Friday, September 3. Make sure to follow along with all of our coverage on the series, including weekly episodic recaps.
