Season 2 ended with a brand new class of gifted heroes living in the mansion, The Sparrow Academy. After a jaunt back in time to avoid one apocalypse, and then fix another, Sir Reginald Hargreeves realized his grave mistake in his first selections. So, learning from his error, he recruited a whole new team, with one exception — Ben. Since Ben had already passed before the Hargreeves met up with dear old dad in the 60s, he remained unsullied in Hargreeves’ eyes. So, he’s back, and alive, with his brand new siblings.
Season 3 is bound to be an exciting story as the Umbrella kids and Sparrow kids come head to head. Nothing is known of the plot quite yet, but the Sparrow Academy is a comic entity who does eventually team up with the Umbrella Academy to save the world.
