It’ll come as no surprise to fans of Enola Holmes that Legendary and Netflix will partner yet again to bring Enola and the Holmes family to our screens once again for a sequel to the hit movie! It was announced today that Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill will reprise their roles as Enola and Sherlock for the sequel. Emmy and BAFTA- winning director Harry Bradbeer and writer Jack Thorne will also return, which promises we’ll see a second high-energy, witty, smash hit just like the first film!

Enola Holmes brings an imaginative and dynamic twist to the story of the world’s greatest detective and his family. While everyone is familiar with Sherlock Holmes, they are less familiar with his rebellious teen sister who is perhaps even more clever than him! The film is based on Nancy Springer’s Edgar Award-nominated book series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries, which totals six books.

Enola Holmes took us on a whirlwind adventure as a teenaged Enola searches for her mother who disappears on the day of her 16th birthday. While Mycroft (Sam Claflin) insists she attend a finishing school, she’s now his ward with their mother in the wind, Enola cleverly escapes her brother’s clutches and heads to London to find Eudoria (played by Helena Bonham Carter). Along they way she runs into another teen, Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), who is in hiding from his own family. Enola uncovers a plot to end the young lord’s life and begrudgingly tries to keep him alive in London, solve the mystery, and find her mother.

There’s not word yet on whether Claflin, Bonham Carter, or Partridge will reprise their roles for the film but we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest news on the sequel for Enola Holmes.
