Eight ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Funko Pop!s We Need To See

Share:

Disney+’s new Marvel miniseries The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is an absolute hit, and it sees the return of two beloved characters: Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).

Taking place in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, the two must do their best to put aside their snarky relationship in order to succeed on their latest mission. The show includes quite a few familiar faces, like Daniel BrĂĽhl’s Helmut Zemo, Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter, and Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes, alongside some new players as well.

As with any popular television show or movie, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier already has its own line of Funko Pop!s. Thus far we’ve seen vinyl figures for Bucky, Sam, John Walker, Zemo, and most recently Sharon. However, if Funko’s lineup for Disney+’s other Marvel series WandaVision is anything to go by, it’s likely that we’ll see more figures released by the time that the show finishes airing.

In the meantime, we’ve put together a wish list for Funko.

8. Karli Morgenthau

Marvel Studios

Karli Morgenthau and the Flag-Smashers are a concerning issue for Sam and Bucky, and they’ve also proven to be quite intriguing characters. Though they’re working against the law and leaving violence in their wake, these next-gen Super Soldiers also seem to be fighting to help out their people that the world has failed to help in light of the Blip reversal. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a Pop! on the way of Karli wearing her Flag-Smashers mask.

7. Isaiah Bradley

Marvel Studios

Episode 2 introduced us to a character from the comics: Isaiah Bradley, the first Black Captain America. Thus far, the show has confirmed that Isaiah is a Super Soldier, but we don’t yet know if he has worn the uniform and wielded the shield in the universe of the MCU. Regardless, and especially with the current Year of the Shield Pop! campaign, a vinyl figure of Isaiah as Cap is a necessity.

6. JoaquĂn Torres

Marvel Studios

We met Danny Ramirez’s JoaquĂn Torres in the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, a young lieutenant in the United States Air Force that has befriended Sam. Though he’s had a minor role in the series thus far, his history in the comics hints that he may just be one of the MCU’s next blossoming heroes. Naturally, we’re going to need a Pop! of him sooner or later.

5. One Night in Madripoor

Chuck Zlotnick/Marvel Studios

The mission in Lowtown may have been messily successful at best, but Zemo, Sam, and Bucky made sure to do it in style nonetheless. Whereas Bucky had to play the part as the stoic Winter Soldier, Sam begrudgingly disguised himself as the Smiling Tiger. Meanwhile, the well-off Baron Zemo spared no expense for his first night out on the town after years in prison. (ICYMI, the Marvel fandom has now dubbed BrĂĽhl’s character Sugar Daddy Zemo.) This evening could do to be immortalized in Pop! form.

4. Bucky vs Redwing

Marvel Studios

Bucky’s snarky and argumentative relationship with Sam clearly doesn’t end with the hero himself, because he has a laundry list of issues with Falcon’s drone Redwing as well. When Karli smashed Redwing to pieces in episode 2, Bucky replied, “I always wanted to do that.” A Pop! of Bucky trying to snatch Redwing out of the air would be an excellent addition to the show’s lineup of figures.

3. Sam with the Shield

Chuck Zlotnick/Marvel Studios

This one is a no-brainer, and there’s no doubt that it will be revealed soon enough. Though Steve Rogers’ iconic vibranium shield is currently — unfortunately — in the hands of Discount Captain America, it’s only a matter of time until Sam and Bucky get it back. And hopefully we’ll finally see Sam step into his rightful role as the next Captain America.

2. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Do Couples Therapy

Marvel Studios

Before Bucky was allowed to be excused from therapy in order to head off on his global adventures, Dr. Raynor made him attend one last mandatory session. And Sam had no choice but to join in. Seeing their antagonistic relationship with one another, Dr. Raynor made them go through the motions of a couples therapy exercise, which was equal parts hilarious and emotional. In recognition of this moment, we most definitely need an entire Television Moments Pop! with the two seated and facing one another, locked in a staring contest.

1. Zemo’s Got Moves

Marvel Studios

Daniel BrĂĽhl has had an unforgettable return to the MCU thus far. Though the third episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had plenty of action-packed moments, one incredible, short snippet of a scene stole the entire show: Zemo and his dance movies. After their tense escape from the disastrous meeting with Selby, Sam, Bucky, and Zemo had a brief bit of downtime at Sharon’s party. So what’s a man to do on a night off after countless years in prison? He dances, of course.

Which of these will actually hit the Funko production line? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for episode 4 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which will land exclusively on Disney+ this Friday, April 9.
