Only a few days after a new cast announcement, Netflix has revealed that Shelley Conn and Calam Lynch will join the season 2 cast of Bridgerton. They will join show newcomers Charithra Chandran, Rupert Young, and Simone Ashley.

Conn is set to play Mary Sharma, Edwina and Kate’s mother, whose marriage found her and her family caught in a scandal. Newly returned to London, Lady Mary must once again face the scrutiny of the Ton.

Lynch will play Theo Sharpe, a printer’s assistant who’s intelligent, hardworking, and fights for the rights of all.

Season 2 of Bridgerton will follow the second book in Julia Quinn’s series. It will focus on the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony, as he sets out to find himself a viscountess.

There’s currently no word on a release date for season 2. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available. In the meantime, stream season 1 of Bridgerton now on Netflix.
