Believe in the Lasso Way — ‘Ted Lasso’, Jason Sudeikis, and Hannah Waddingham Win Big at Critics Choice Awards!
The 26th annual Critics Choice Awards took place this evening, honoring the finest in television and film achievement in 2020. Hosted by Taye Diggs, the ceremony looked back on the entertainment that helped usher us all through what was otherwise a very strange, difficult, and unprecedented year.
Apple’s hit comedy Ted Lasso was nominated for a total of three awards this evening. This series follows the story of an American football coach named Ted Lasso (portrayed by Jason Sudeikis) who’s hired to manage a struggling English football team in the UK, AFC Richmond. The show also stars Brendan Hunt, Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein, Nick Mohammed, Juno Temple, and more.
This hilarious and heartwarming series made a well-deserved, clean sweep in all three categories it was nominated for.
