The 26th annual Critics Choice Awards took place this evening, honoring the finest in television and film achievement in 2020. Hosted by Taye Diggs, the ceremony looked back on the entertainment that helped usher us all through what was otherwise a very strange, difficult, and unprecedented year.

The beloved comedy series Schitt’s Creek was nominated for a total of five awards this evening. Schitt’s Creek, which took its bittersweet final bow last year with its sixth season, follows the story of the Rose family. Faced with bankruptcy, the once wealthy Johnny, Moira, David, and Alexis are forced to trade in their lavish lifestyle for a new life in a small motel in the quirky town of Schitt’s Creek.

Created by Dan Levy and his father Eugene Levy, Schitt’s Creek stars the aforementioned duo alongside Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Noah Reid, Chris Elliott, Jennifer Robertson, Sarah Levy, Karen Robinson, Dustin Milligan, and more.

Schitt’s Creek ultimately took home two awards this evening, in recognition of the incomparable David and Moira Rose.
