‘Promising Young Woman’ Wins Two Critics Choice Awards

Emerald Fennell’s film Promising Young Woman has won two Critics Choice Awards! Fennell was honored with Best Original Screenplay, while star Carey Mulligan took home the award for Best Actress.

Promising Young Woman was both written and directed by Fennell and follows the story of Cassie (Mulligan), a woman consumed by a desire for revenge after her best friend is assaulted. The film was nominated for six total awards: Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Costume Design, Best Hair and Makeup, and Best Original Screenplay.

Alongside Mulligan, the film also stars Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Clancy Brown, Jennifer Coolidge, Laverne Cox, Adam Brody, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Connie Britton. Promising Young Woman is currently available to watch On Demand on a variety of platforms.
