Late last year, a new ongoing Disney+ series was announced — Marvel Studios: Legends. As we enter Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Legends is meant to showcase individual characters that we have come to know and love over the years and look back on their most iconic moments. The series kicked off in early January with two episodes focused on the key characters of WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff and Vision.
As the WandaVision finale premiered today, we’re moving forward to prepare for the next highly anticipated Marvel television show, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. This 6-episode miniseries will see the return of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes. As Avengers: Endgame came to a close, Steve Rogers passed on his vibranium shield to Sam. Now, in the aftermath of that decision, Sam and Bucky will have to learn to work together as they team up on a global adventure that will test both their abilities and their patience.
Ahead of the arrival of the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which is still two weeks away, the “Falcon” and “The Winter Soldier” Legends episodes are now streaming on Disney+! They originally weren’t due to arrive until March 12.
The episodes, which are each under 10 minutes in length, will provide viewers with a necessary refresher on Sam and Bucky’s history in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Starting with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, “Falcon” will “revisit Sam’s journey to becoming The Falcon and his eventual partnering with The Winter Soldier.” Meanwhile, “The Winter Soldier” will look back on a story that has been unfolding since Captain America: The First Avenger and “relive how Bucky Barnes was twisted into the ultimate assassin and finally redeemed.”
Make sure to check out both new episodes of Marvel Studios: Legends exclusively on Disney+ ahead of the upcoming premiere of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Friday, March 19!
