According to ComicBook, Angus Macfadyen (Robert the Bruce, Braveheart) is set to play Jor-El, Clark’s Kryptonian father, in the upcoming superhero show from The CW Superman & Lois. ComicBook has also confirmed that Macfadyen will appear in the series’ second episode, which premieres on March 2.
Jor-El’s character description is as follows:
“Jor-El is Clark Kent’s Kryptonian father. Though he died along with Krypton, his brilliant essence still exists within the arctic Fortress of Solitude to provide guidance when his son seeks help.”
Superman & Lois will see the Kent family trade in big city living in Metropolis for Smallville, having to balance raising their sons while being a world-famous superhero and journalist.
Superman & Lois premieres on February 23 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
