Shinoda started Tuesday by revisiting Megan Lenius’ track “Not Your Game,” which was featured on Mike’s channel last week. Following the initial production of the track, Lenius went live on her own Twitch channel to record new guitar and vocal tracks. Shinoda incorporated these into the song, building off Lenius’ new guitar tracks, editing the bridge, and refining the end of the song using the new vocals. Afterward, Shinoda moved onto the second track, “Darkest Days” by Becko, which also needed some finishing touches on the background vocals and effects.
Wednesday got off to a bit of a late start, Shinoda having gotten carried away preparing for a brand new track, titled “Enough” by artist Kintsuku. Viewers were excited to see another female vocalist, the second one after Megan Lenius. For the basis of her song, Kintsuku recorded piano and vocal tracks and posted a clip of the live performance on Twitter for members of Shinoda’s #AnRMY to find.
When listening to the original tracks, Shinoda thought the song would progress nicely with a more cinematic sound. To prep for the live stream, he pulled a few different strings with a warm tone, specifically violas and cellos, as well as a French horn. Starting work on the track, Shinoda conducted a poll to have viewers help him decide which direction to take the piano track. The options were to use Kintsuku’s original live piano or a modified version of it by putting a filter and slight tape distortion over it. Voters chose to use live piano, and Shinoda then decided to rerecord Kintsuku’s piano track in his studio’s live room. Moving onto adding more instruments, Shinoda then recorded live drums and added the strings, bass, and various different effects.
