The fourth issue of the six-part comic miniseries The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem from Dark Horse Comics is now available!

The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem is written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon, with art by Leonardo Romero, lettering by Nate Piekos, and coloring by Jordie Bellaire. This comic series follows the story of the original Killjoy, Mike Milligram. The Killjoys used to be a part of a group of teenage exterminators on a mission to save reality. After temporarily losing their memories, the gang gets back together years later in a final showdown against an evil pharmaceutical corporation, their monstrous hitman, and savage gang rivals.

In issue #3, the gang finally managed to track down Kara (previously Kyle 100%). She initially had no interest in rejoining the Killjoys, but a targeted attack changed her plans slightly. The issue closed on the Killjoys speeding off in the Trans Am with Kara bleeding out in the front seat.

The summary for issue #4 is as follows:

During a road-stop psychedelic, out of body experience, Killjoys leader Mike Milligram learns more about his past. Meanwhile, the old gangs and adversaries of our heroes are called together to hunt them down for a final showdown at an abandoned mall.

In addition to Romero’s cover, there are also two variant covers available for issue #4. The covers, pictured below, feature artwork by Becky Cloonan (the artist for the 2013 version of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys) and Steve Seeley.
