Season 4 of ‘9-1-1’ Is Bigger Than Ever in New Preview
Season 4 of FOX’s hit procedural drama 9-1-1 is just over a month away. The upcoming season’s opening disaster seems to be a big one and the new trailer only further proves that. Between a mudslide, parents-to-be Maddie and Chimney, and a traumatized Athena, on top of the COVID-19 pandemic, season 4 will be bigger than ever.
In the newest preview for season 4, we finally get a first look at a pregnant Maddie, who revealed her pregnancy in the season 3 finale last May, who also reveals to dad-to-be Chimney that she’s scared. Maddie and Buck’s parents, played by Gregory Harrison and Dee Wallace, also make their first appearance, but it’s not a reunion neither of them look forward to. Bobby, meanwhile, is worried about his wife, but Athena assures him that she’s fine, because she knows herself. Athena was still getting over her traumatic experience with the serial rapist towards the end of season 3, and it seems like even months after, the PTSD is still there. Meanwhile, a dam breaks and the Hollywood sign is almost no more due to a major mudslide.
The mudslide disaster is only one of the many problems the 118 will be facing in season 4, as when the series picks back up, it’ll be seven months deep into the COVID-19 pandemic. The new season will also include the first ever crossover with spin-off 9-1-1: Lone Star, and the long-awaited “Buck Begins.”
Season 4 of 9-1-1 premieres Monday, January 18 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on FOX, followed by the season 2 premiere of 9-1-1: Lone Star! You can catch up on the first three seasons of 9-1-1 now on Hulu.
