Christian Bale, best known for playing Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, has stored away the cape and cowl. In fact, he lived long enough to see himself become the villain. Back in March, Thor: Love and Thunder star Tessa Thompson confirmed that Christian Bale would be joining the upcoming movie as the lead villain, though there was no word on Bale’s character.
However, we now know the mysterious villain Bale will play. Disney and Marvel revealed that Bale’s character will be Gorr the God Butcher, an alien who holds a vendetta against all gods — including Thor — after losing his family. Considering Bale’s impressive filmography and dedication, there’s no doubt he’ll bring an excellent villain to the screen.
