Grace McKagan is no stranger to the music industry. She has been releasing music with her synth pop-punk band The Pink Slips for several years and comes from a musical family. But as any musician, she has grown and come into her own with more mature music and she is ready to share that newfound growth with her new solo music, starting off strong with the more vulnerable tune “Surrender.”
In an Instagram post, McKagan described the process of writing the new material stating, “I wrote this song at a time where I stopped believing in myself and wanted to see myself in a positive way again. I like to think of it as my triumphant lullaby.”
