‘Hellboy Universe: The Secret Histories’ Coming in 2021 from Dark Horse Books
2021 is looking to be filled with golden content for fans of Hellboy. Dark Horse Comics has announced another new hardcover comic anthology featuring Big Red. Hellboy Universe: The Secret Histories will feature three stories encased by a brand-new cover from Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and award-winning colorist Dave Stewart. All this is coming to a shelf near you in comic book stores on June 2, 2021, and June 15, 2021, for bookstores.
As a fan, I love this anthology because it will follow Rasputin, who is responsible for bringing Hellboy to Earth but also brought about Project Ragna Rok. It brings about the questions, “How did he stay hidden on Earth for so long? Where did the legendary Sledgehammer armor really come from?” We know that Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin is a supervillain in the storyline, both when he was alive and dead. He was a leading agent of Ogdru Jahad and was also known by the names The Master, Mad Monk, and Grishka. Maybe more of the answers will be revealed in the stories Rasputin: The Voice of the Dragon, Sledgehammer 44, or The Visitor: How and Why He Stayed.
Hellboy editor Katii O’Brien had this to say about the anthology of stores.
