Disney+’s ‘Hawkeye’ Begins Filming, Adds New Cast Members

Share

Variety has exclusively reported that the Jeremy Renner led Marvel and Disney+ series, Hawkeye, has set its target on six new cast members!

Vera Farmiga is attached to play Kate Bishop’s (Hailee Steinfeld) mother, Eleanor Bishop; Fra Fee will play Kazi, who could potentially be the villainous Kazimierz Kazimierczak; Tony Dalton is set to take on the role of Jack Duquesne (Swordsman), who is Hawkeye’s early mentor; Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena Belova, Black Widow’s sister; Alaqua Cox will make her on-screen debut as Maya Lopez, or Echo, who is a deaf Native American capable of copying others movements; and Zahn McClarnon will play William Lopez, Maya’s father. The episodes are set to be directed by Rhys Thomas and duo Bert and Bertie.

Renner has also announced the beginning of filming for the series with a photo on Instagram of his chair with his character’s name etched on the back. Although Steinfeld isn’t officially confirmed to take on the role of Kate Bishop, there have been a number of photos and videos released online with shots featuring Steinfeld in full Kate Bishop attire (including the recurve bow!) and Renner running around with Lucky The Pizza Dog filming scenes together.
