‘9-1-1’ and Angela Bassett Receive Critics Choice Super Awards Nominations
Nominations for the inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards are here, and among those nominated include FOX’s flagship first responder series. Both 9-1-1 and Angela Bassett, who plays police officer Athena Grant-Nash, were nominated in the Best Action Series and Best Actress in an Action Series categories, respectively.
9-1-1 will be up against Amazon’s Hanna and Hunters, CBS’ S.W.A.T., History’s Vikings and Cinemax’s Warrior, while Bassett is competing with Jennifer Connelly, Esme Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos, Kathryn Winnick, and Alison Wright. Other shows nominated include The Boys, Lovecraft Country, Lucifer and Supernatural. Birds of Prey, Freaky, Onward, and Palm Springs, meanwhile, are some of the films nominated.
9-1-1 is gearing up to bring the fire for season 4 when it premieres on January 18. Just like the previous two seasons, the upcoming season will begin with a natural disaster. Season 2 had an earthquake, season 3 had a tsunami and now season 4 will feature a mudslide. Check out the promo for season 4 below, premiering on January 18 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX, followed by season 2 of 9-1-1: Lone Star!
