With a few mere weeks to go until the release of The War With Grandpa (starring Robert De Niro and based on the award-winning book by Robert Kimmel Smith), 101 Studios and Brookdale Studios have released two new clips from the movie!

Here is a short synopsis of The War With Grandpa:

Sixth-grader Peter (Oakes Fegley) is pretty much your average kid-he likes gaming, hanging with his friends and his beloved pair of Air Jordans. But when his recently widowed grandfather Ed (Robert De Niro) moves in with Peter’s family, the boy is forced to give up his most prized possession of all, his bedroom. Unwilling to let such an injustice stand, Peter devises a series of increasingly elaborate pranks to drive out the interloper, but Grandpa Ed won’t go without a fight. Soon, the friendly combatants are engaged in an all-out war with side-splitting consequences.

The War with Grandpa also stars Christopher Walken, Uma Thurman, Rob Riggle, Cheech Marin, Laura Marano, and Jane Seymour. Check out the two new clips, “The Attic” and “Shaving Cream” below!

In the first clip, Peter is arguing with his parents because he doesn’t want to move out of his bedroom into the upstairs attic, saying “it isn’t a choice at all. Because a choice means you get to pick between at least two things, and this is one thing.”

In “Shaving Cream”, Ed, played by Robert De Niro, gets a very unpleasant surprise when he realizes that his shaving cream is actually foam sealant.

The War With Grandpa is set to release in theaters on October 9.
