Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional Cancelled at Walt Disney World

Unfortunately, Disney has announced that the Christmas ticketed events, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, have been put on hiatus this year.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party usually sees guests experience a holiday party at Magic Kingdom featuring special fireworks and a parade, both of which are currently not taking place at Walt Disney World. Candlelight Processional is a show where a celebrity narrator tells the story of the nativity featuring choral pieces. Both events draw large crowds and so are unable to continue due to social distancing protocols.

However, Christmas is still coming to Walt Disney World! From November 6 – December 30, the parks and hotels will be seasonally decorated and there will be festive merchandise, food, and drink available.

There will also be lots of festive entertainment available at all of the parks. At Magic Kingdom, the character cavalcades will take on a festive twist, the fan favorite toy soldiers from the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party parade will join the Main Street Philharmonic. There will also be a special Christmas projection show on Cinderella Castle. Santa Claus will even appear at all four parks and Disney Springs!
