The Great British Bake Off (or The Great British Baking Show in the U.S.) will be returning to Channel 4 in the UK on September 22.

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will be joined by hosts Noel Fielding and newcomer Matt Lucas to welcome the 2020 bakers into the tent. Matt Lucas replaces last year’s co-host Sandi Toksvig.

The competition sees amateur bakers compete each week in three baking challenges, where the best baker is crowned ‘star baker’ and the worst is eliminated from the tent. The show is full of delicious bakes and baking innuendos, but perhaps what makes it so beloved by its fans is that it is full of heart.

The first episode will air at 8 p.m. BST on Channel 4. Unfortunately, there is currently no news on when the show will arrive on Netflix. Last year, Netflix saw the new episode drop the day after it aired in the UK. We hope it will arrive soon because awkward British bakers making show-stopping cakes is the sweet treat we all need right now.
