This past weekend’s DC FanDome dropped a lot of information, and the promise of more to come next month has us all excited. The sneak previews of upcoming films was a particular highlight of the event for many, and although we did not get a teaser for the upcoming Shazam! sequel, we did finally get an official title: Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

Announced during Saturday’s “Shazoom” panel by the cast, this new title already has fans questioning how the movie will play out. However, fans were even more intrigued by the prospect of the upcoming film when actor Sinbad joined the “Shazoom” panel, since he does not appear in the first film. (Although, many people mistakenly believe he had been a member of the Shazam cast due to his role in the similarly titled film, Kazaam.) The panel even joked around about the confusion, teasing that Sinbad might as will appear in Shazam! Fury of the Gods since everyone already assumes he is connected to the franchise. Unfortunately, neither the cast nor Sinbad ever confirmed his appearance in the new film, so for now we can only hope and speculate.
