Taylor Swift’s “the lakes” Released for Streaming

Swifties gather and rejoice! The bonus track from Taylor Swift’s album folklore titled “the lakes” is now available for streaming.

The 17th and final track of the album, “the lakes” had previously only been privy to the lucky Swifties who were able to get their hands on physical copies of the album. Due to its exclusivity, the song’s release had been highly anticipated, and this was only further bolstered by Swift’s reference of the title within the lyrics of “invisible string,” the 11th track featured on folklore: “Bold was the waitress on our three-year trip/ getting lunch down by the lakes.” It’s safe to say that the wide release of the bonus track was worth waiting for!

With a swelling string backdrop, Swift delivers an ode to both the aforementioned getaway and the comforting presence of her “muse” with whom she was accompanied, creating an atmosphere that would provide inspiration to many a romantic English poet.

Escape to England’s northwest with Taylor Swift by streaming “the lakes,” the final track on the deluxe edition of folklore.
