BLACKPINK Confirms Collaboration With Selena Gomez in New Single Announcement

South Korean pop group BLACKPINK have been teasing a special collaboration and fans have been speculating who they could be working with. They’ve officially announced they will be collaborating with Selena Gomez on a brand new single that is set to release on August 28!

In a statement about the SELPINK collaboration, YG Entertainment noted BLACKPINK’s gratitude and excitement about the single.

“The dream of the artists, who shared a longstanding musical connection as fans of each other, has finally come true. BLACKPINK expressed their gratitude to Selena Gomez and are very happy that fans will be able to hear the song soon.”

They had been teasing the secret collaboration for a week now after tweeting the single cover art with a question mark under “Featuring.” Fans were speculating that the guest artist would either be Gomez or Ariana Grande.

So far the single has no name, but fans are able to pre-save/pre-add it now. The single will be released at 12 a.m. ET/1 p.m. KST on August 28. Also that day, fans can join Gomez and former co-star David Henrie in a live virtual premiere event of their new movie This Is the Year. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s highly-anticipated debut album is set to release on October 2.
