FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention Postponed to 2021

FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention has officially announced that they are postponing their fall event (originally scheduled for September this year). Fans were prepared for the announcement following an update shared by convention staff on July 3 that addressed the possibility of this year’s event not happening due to the COVID-19 situation.

Today, on social media outlets, organizers made the announcement.

Since the beginning of the global pandemic, the FanX staff has held onto the hope that we would still be able to host FanX 2020 this September. Our top priority has always been and will continue to be the safety and well being of our FanX family – which, unfortunately, at this point in time, means postponing FanX 2020. After discussions with community leaders, health officials, and the surge of COVID-19 cases in Utah the past few weeks, we feel it’s in the best interest of our community to postpone.

Next year’s even is set to happen September 16-18. Attendees who purchased passes for this year will have the option of having those passes roll over to next year’s convention. VIP and Gold ticket holders will also get an an exclusive commemorative FanX 2020 badge and pin if they choose to roll over to next year. Ticket holders may also hold onto their passes for any other future event, or contact FanX for a refund.

Check out FanX’s official announcement for more details.

FanX is planning to hold virtual meet and greets, panels, and more for fans in the meantime. For updates and announcements, you can follow FanX on their social media channels, subscribe to their newsletters, and check their website.
