Party on Dudes! ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ Gets 4k Remaster and Re-Release
This is totally not bogus! With the release of Bill & Ted Face the Music coming later this summer, their first adventure, which began in 1989 with Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, is getting a 4k remaster and re-release! Per Empire, the remaster of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure will be re-released on 4k UHD Blu-ray, DVD, a limited edition Steelbook, Blu-ray and digital download on August 10.
Directed by Stephen Herek and written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure follows high school friends Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (Keanu Reeves) that are starting up their band while also in the midst of failing their history class. The guys receive help from Rufus, a traveler from the future. In Rufus’ future, Bill and Ted’s band is the foundation of their perfect society. With the help of Rufus’ time machine, Bill and Ted travel to various moments in history to collect distinct members and bring them back to ace their final oral history report.
