On Friday, Deadline revealed that the world will have to wait a bit longer to see Bill and Ted’s newest adventure. Bill & Ted Face the Music will now be released August 28 to avoid opening against Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in the box office. This comes after the film previously shifted its release to fill Wonder Woman 1984‘s spot.

Bill & Ted Face the Music follows Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (Keanu Reeves) as they yet again attempt to fulfill their rock and roll destiny. Now middle-aged men with daughters, Thea Preston (Samara Weaving) and Billie Logan (Brigette Lundy-Paine), the best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future tells them that only their song can save life as we know it, along with the help of their daughters, historical figures, and music legends they seek the song that will bring harmony to the universe. The film is directed by Dean Parisot and written by co-creators Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson.
