The YA series follows Devi Vishwakumar, a first generation Indian American high schooler, adjusting to life back at school after the unexpected death of her father. It stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, Ramona Young and Lee Rodriguez as Devi’s best friends Eleanor and Fabiola, respectively, Poorna Jagannathan (Nalini Vishwakumar), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohan Vishwakumar), Richa Moorjani (Kamala), Darren Barnet (Paxton Hall-Yoshida), Jaren Lewison (Ben), and John McEnroe as himself. The series was created by Lang Fisher and Mindy Kaling.
Currently there are no details on plot, but hopefully we’ll see more of Devi and Ben after their moment at the beach, find out if Devi and her mother will move to India after all, and get more of Fabiola’s journey with coming out. Regardless of what season 2 brings, it’s sure to be just as funny and charming as season 1.
Season 1 of Never Have I Ever is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
