Busch Gardens Set to Reopen on June 11

For fans of Busch Gardens, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be opening on June 11! Busch Gardens joins the list of theme parks who are set to open this month and next month, with Legoland already opened, Universal Orlando Resort opening to the public tomorrow, and the Walt Disney World Resort welcome guests back in July.

Guests who wish to attend Busch Gardens will need to make a reservation first, however.

To manage capacity, guests with tickets, Fun Cards, or Annual Passes must make a reservation prior to visiting the park. Guests must bring their reservation eticket and their original ticket, Fun Card, or Annual Pass to the front gate for entry into the park.

Reservations will begin on Monday, June 8 at 10am EST on Busch Gardens’ website.

For everyone’s safety, here’s some measures that Busch Gardens will be taking:

EMPLOYEE & GUEST TEMPERATURE SCREENING

When guests and employees arrive on-property, they must undergo and pass temperature screening using the CDC temperature recommendation of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

FACE COVERINGS

Employees and guests ages two and up will be required to wear face coverings when experiencing our parks, and we encourage guests to bring their own, if possible.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

To promote proper physical distancing throughout the parks, we will install signage and markings throughout our guest areas (including on the ground) to identify appropriate, six-foot physical distancing. Lounge chair seating will also be modified to maintain physical distancing. We also encourage contactless payments and plexi-glass will be installed in high-traffic or close-contact areas to maintain a physical barrier.

CLEANING & SANITATION

To protect the health and safety of our guests and employees, we will significantly increase both the frequency of cleaning for all key areas of the parks (including employee spaces) and the number of hand sanitization stations across each park, especially in high-contact areas.

WORK & SICK POLICIES

We will require our employees to stay home if they are feeling sick. We will also require our employees to follow the most current CDC guidance for self-isolation and symptom-free periods before returning to work.

COVID-19 TRAINING

Our employees will receive COVID-19 specific training to cover all new enhanced park operating procedures. The training will include the most current guidance from the CDC and other health advisors.

Restaurants, retail shops and Animal Exhibits will also be adhering to social distancing measures. Check out Busch Gardens’ website for all of the information on what they’re doing to keep everyone safe.
