The Skywalker Saga’s sequel trilogy was a welcome addition to the Star Wars universe when the first of three new films from a galaxy far, far away premiered in 2015. Though these movies introduced an array of new characters, weapons, ships, lore, and storylines, they also held on to an important element that dates back to the original trilogy: comedic relief.

Star Wars is first and foremost a space fantasy, jam-packed with action, drama, adventure, and romance. However, in the moments in between the shocking revelations, the harrowing near misses, and the intense battles, there are lighthearted, comedic moments that make the films feel more relatable, in a way.

We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite laugh out loud moments from Episode VII through Episode IX.

Sorry, Rey, but that’s not the Force. Trolled by Luke Skywalker himself.

Chewie clearly didn’t get the memo that porgs were the next big thing, based on his unfortunate dinner choice.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

The entire exchange between Poe and Rey as they argue over BB-8’s damages versus the Falcon’s, which is … very much on fire. Lightspeed skipping … amiright?
