First Look at Mark Hamill and Rosario Dawson as Monsters in ‘The Last Kids on Earth’

Ahead of the return of the highly anticipated second season of The Last Kids on Earth Netflix and Atomic Cartoons have released first look character images of Mark Hamill and Rosario Dawson.

Voiced by Mark Hamill, Bardle is the default leader of the monsters at Joe’s Pizza. Old, wizened, and wizardly, he acts as an advisor to Jack and the human heroes. He’s able to pass on knowledge about monsters, the evil Rezzoch, and life in the monster dimension he came from. Bardle is stiff and formal, in both attitude and speech. He comes off tense and angry, but he’s just a bit Yoda-esque.

Voiced by Rosario Dawson, Rezzoch is the ultra-villian. The BIG BAD. She is also known as Rezzoch the Ancient, Destructor of Worlds. Rezzoch has no real form, nothing that humans can truly see. She speaks to her servants and to our heroes through portals. As Bardle tells our heroes, Rezzoch the Ancient comes from the time before, when great battles were fought in the monster dimension lands. After an age, Rezzoch was defeated and for a millennia she was gone. The monsters lived in peace. But then she returned.

Throughout the ages, there have been rare, evil creatures who strive to bring about the return of Rezzoch. One of these servants awakened Rezzoch, which opened the portals that caused the Monster and Zombie Apocalypse. Only this time, Rezzoch didn’t make it through the portals and she has to rely on her evil servants aid in bringing her to Earth.

The The Last Kids on Earth is based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Max Brallier. The second series is based on the second book in the franchise and will return to Netflix on April 17. Make sure to have a look at the other characters already released here.
