The ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen some well-known, legendary, and superstar-level actors in its run over the past decade. While some films cast “nobodies,” with the growing universe, the appeal for Hollywood stars to secure a Marvel role also keep rising.

So today, when it was announced that none other than Owen Wilson was joining the Loki Disney+ series, fans were briefly in disbelief. According to Variety, Wilson’s appearance in the show is confirmed. His role, however, is not. Loki is one of the exclusive Disney+ shows that were announced in 2019 and so far the only known star of the show is Tom Hiddleston, who will be reprising the role he first played in 2011 in Thor as Loki is the god of mischief. It has been confirmed that the show will involve time-travel. Fans are surely in for a humorous approach and Wilson will be a great addition to this story.

Loki is currently in production and set to be released in 2021.
