‘Supernatural’ is Headed to SXSW in Austin
The end of an era has arrived. It’s been 15 years since Supernatural premiered on the former WB network, and is currently running its 15th and final season set to end on May 18 on The CW.
Supernatural has always defied the odds. It is the longest-running sci-fi show in American history, with over 300 episodes, with a fiery fandom surging it forward, despite the end looming closer and closer. The Supernatural fandom, or the SPN Family, has stuck by this little show that could for over a decade, keeping it relevant on social media, buying out merchandise, filling convention halls at 10+ conventions a year, and the best part, being a beacon of kindness and good with countless acts of charity in the name of Supernatural.
This year, Supernatural is being featured at SXSW in Austin, TX, with a panel discussing all of the above and more with the show’s three main stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins, along with Entertainment Weekly’s resident Supernatural expert, Samantha Highfill and Alice Jester from The Winchester Family Business.
SXSW is being held March 13-22; the Supernatural panel’s date and venue is still to be determined. A platinum badge or film badge will get you primary entry, a music or interactive badge for secondary entry. You can find info on the Supernatural panel here and the different types of badges here.
According to their official website, you can attend SXSW to “experience 10 days of unparalleled discovery, learning, and networking with creatives across tech, film, and music industries.”
