‘Shameless’ Renewed For Final Season

Showtime announced that its smash hit comedy-drama Shameless will return for an 11th and final season. The show, which has been airing since January 2011, is Showtime’s highest rated series and is also the network’s longest running scripted program.

Shameless has been both a critical and commercial success for Showtime, with stars William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum (who left the show after season 9) receiving awards recognition for their roles over the years. The 10th season is currently airing, with its finale set for January 26. The final season has not set a premiere date but is expected this summer. The cast includes William H. Macy, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan, Christian Isaiah, Noel Fisher and Kate Miner.
