Entertainment Weekly announced in an exclusive that this season Dennis Haysbert will be taking on the role of none other than God himself. Haysbert will be appearing all throughout the fifth season. There’s sure to be some quality family time that will undoubtedly happen between Lucifer (Tom Ellis), Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), and their father.

The final season will pick up with Lucifer back in Hell, but Amenadiel will be paying him a visit on an urgent matter.

Lucifer returns for its fifth and final season later this year and is being split into two eight-piece segments on Netflix.
