Entertainment Weekly Shares Exclusive ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Photo

With just a month to go until Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters, fans are eagerly waiting to witness how the final chapter of the Skywalker saga will play out. The Star Wars universe will still live on, of course, but the original beloved story that started it all is finally coming to an end. It’s been two years since the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which has left plenty of time for speculation to run rampant.
Today, Entertainment Weekly shared a brand-new exclusive photo from The Rise of Skywalker. In an exciting turn of events, it appears that ace pilot Poe Dameron (portrayed by Oscar Isaac) will finally get a chance to stretch his wings a bit and fly the most notorious ship in the galaxy — the Millennium Falcon. Though Poe certainly knows his way around an X-wing, it will be interesting (albeit slightly emotional) to see the skilled pilot step into the seat that once belonged to the dearly departed Han Solo. In the photo, Poe is joined by the Falcon’s one and only co-pilot, Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), and Finn (John Boyega).
See below for a clip from Entertainment Weekly’s interview with Oscar Isaac, in which he reflects on the upcoming film and the focus that it will have on Poe and Finn’s friendship in particular.
