There is a new series coming to FOX in January 2020. 9-1-1: Lone Star comes from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear, the co-creators of 9-1-1.

The show follows a New York police officer, Owen Strand (Rob Lowe), who moves to Austin, Texas, with his son. Not only is he working to save people’s lives, but he is also working to solve his personal issues as well.

The promo shows Owen telling his son that they are moving. There is also a moment where he says, “I ran as fast as I could from that dust cloud. Twenty years later, its finally catching up to me,” revealing that he was there during September 11. When it goes to his character in Austin, he is now the captain of the fire department.

The series will star Rob Lowe, Liv Tyler, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Julian Works, and Ronen Rubinstein.

9-1-1: Lone Star premieres January 19, 2020 on FOX. You can watch the promo below.
