Crunchyroll is Heading to New York City’s Biggest Anime Convention!

To close out a successful 2019, Crunchyroll, the world’s most popular anime brand, will be at the Anime NYC Convention. Along with being in attendance with two booths, panels, and more, Crunchyroll is also the “Powered by” sponsor of Anime NYC for the third year in a row.

Mary Franklin, the Head of Events at Crunchyroll, had this to say about being part of the convention,

The team at Anime NYC cares deeply about anime fans, so it’s a natural fit for Crunchyroll to work with them as the ‘Powered by’ sponsor of the show. We are excited to meet up with fans in New York, hear what they think, and bring them great Crunchyroll content.

This convention is New York’s largest anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture convention. The biggest city in America, hosting the biggest anime convention, seems to be a great fit. Each year, over 40,000 fans gather to celebrate Japanese animation, manga, cosplay, movies, food, fashion, travel, technology, toys, and games.

Crunchyroll’s two booths for fans to enjoy are booth #622 and the game booth #549. This is the first time that they will have a gaming booth where fans can try out demos from upcoming games. The games include Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle, NARUTO x BORUTO NINJA TRIBES, Attack on Titan TACTICS, and Grand Summoners.

There is going to be a lot of content and activities to enjoy over the three days. There will be an interactive Shield Hero training room where fans of the series can battle and pop balloon monsters — time to test your skills. Attendees can get photo ops with the new Dr. Stone, where fans can take pictures with it to create a mural. Also, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series One Piece, there will be a unique photo wall that has fan-favorite characters. The Crunchyroll panel on Saturday (6:30-7:30 p.m.) is where they will talk about what is coming to the platform. They will be giving a special gift for those who attend. There will be a panel about Food Wars! The Fourth Plate. Some of the exclusive premiere screenings include episodes of A Destructive God Sits Next to Me, In/Spectre, and Somali and the Forest Spirit.

The Anime NYC Convention takes place November 15-17 at the Javits Center located at 655 West 34th Street in New York City. For more information about the convention and to purchase tickets, visit animenyc.com.
