Spider-Man Swings Back in Return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In a shocking and so very welcome turn of events, entertainment titans Sony and Disney/Marvel have come to an agreement to allow Spider-Man to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two have reached a deal after their parting of ways a few months ago. Fans were saddened and struck to social media in defense of Marvel and Spidey, wishing to keep the web-slinger with his fellow Avengers in the MCU, but Sony seemed to be holding strong in the partnership being over.
“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.” -Kevin Feige
Terms have not been revealed, but we know Marvel will keep creative control over the character, which is music to die-hard MCU fan’s ears. It was also said that Spider-Man is free to crossover into Sony’s Spiderverse (a Venom 2 cameo perhaps?)
The third (and possibly final standalone) Marvel produced Spider-Man is set to release on July 16, 2021.
