Watch ‘ODAAT’s Mike Royce and More Talk Mental Health at ATX TV Festival

The Austin Television Festival hosted a variety of panels addressing important topics during season eight and many of them will be available to watch on the ATXFestival YouTube channel. The “Breaking the Stigma: Mental Health on TV” panel was recently uploaded, where four amazing panelists explore mental health in today’s television and how they each tackled it in their own projects.

Panelists included One Day at a Time creator Mike Royce, The Haunting of Hill House co-showrunner Meredith Averill, You’re the Worst creator Stephen Falk, and Lincoln actor Arielle Kebbel. Together they explore what it means to bring mental health into the foreground of these shows, discussing everything from diagnosis and treatment to the daily battle those with mental illnesses face.
