Arrow fans rejoice! Katherine McNamara will return to the show as a series regular for Arrow‘s eighth and final season. McNamara joined the series last season as Mia Smoak, Oliver and Felicity’s daughter.

Her character appeared in flash forwards, giving viewers a glimpse of what Star City becomes in the future. While no further details have been released about season eight, McNamara’s promotion potentially hints at more of the story occurring in Star City 2040. With the departure of Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) from the show, no doubt Mia (and McNamara) will prove a great addition to Arrow’s series regular lineup and help deliver a strong final season for fans.

Arrow returns to The CW Tuesday, October 15. Seasons 1-7 are currently available to stream on Netflix.
