At the end of The Handmaid’s Tale‘s second season, we left June (Elisabeth Moss) planning to go back to Gilead to try to save Hannah, instead of escaping with baby Nichole and Emily (Alexis Bledel). The finale left us with a few questions: will Emily and Nichole make it to Canada? Will June be able to save her daughter? Will the resistance be able to put an end to the regime?

The wait is over today, and the first three episodes of season three are out on Hulu now. The remaining ten episode of the season will premiere weekly.

The plot on Hulu for season three is described as follows:

Season Three of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is driven by June’s resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead and her struggle to strike back against overwhelming odds. Startling reunions, betrayals, and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: “Blessed be the fight.”

Elizabeth Moss, Max Minghella (Nick Blaine), Amanda Brugel (Rita), Yvonne Strahovski (Serena Joy), and Joseph Fiennes (Commander Waterford) are all returning. There are also some new additions to the cast: Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: SVU) and Elizabeth Reaser (Grey’s Anatomy) will play Commander and Mrs. Winslow, respectively.
