Since 1997 JK Rowling has been bringing an incredibly magical world to our lives and she’s not done yet.

It was announced that Rowling will be releasing four new stories that tie into the Harry Potter world. However, they will not be gifting us with more adventures. Each book will dive into the more academic side of Hogwarts, giving us a look into what Harry might have used as textbooks while studying at the school.

“Prepare to delve deeper into the rich history of magic with this new series of eBook shorts…[that] will take you back in time once again to learn about the traditional folklore and magic at the heart of the Harry Potter stories,” Pottermore stated on their website.

We can expect the first two books, A Journey Through Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts and A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, to be released on June 27th. The final two books, A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy and A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures, will be released shortly after. All four of the books will initially be released in English, German, Italian, and French, with illustrations done by the artist Rohan Daniel Eason.  They are “adapted from the audiobook Harry Potter: A History of Magic and inspired by a 2017 British Library exhibit of the same name.” as explained in the Pottermore Tweet announcing the ebooks.

You can pre-order your copies now on Amazon US, Apple, Kobo, and Amazon UK.
